About me

Hi, I’m Karine – a storyteller with a passion for transforming big ideas into captivating narratives!

I love creating compelling stories that inspire and inform, connecting with diverse audiences on topics that matter. Currently, I’m channelling my lived experiences and skills into the world of media and journalism, seeking opportunities to make an impact on globally recognised platforms.

Whether I’m exploring social issues, diving into soul-searching reflections, observing the nuances of human behaviour, or spinning creative musings, my goal is always the same: to spark meaningful conversations through thought-provoking content.

As the co-founder of the Open Justice Initiative, I’ve been on a mission to challenge norms in the criminal justice system, using media to amplify the voices that need to be heard. My journey so far has taken me through marketing campaigns, international business, and advocacy – all with a healthy mix of creativity and strategic flair. Right now, I’m deepening my storytelling craft at the WBD Press Academy, while pouring my heart into an autofiction book on resilience (and yes, it’s every bit as thrilling as it sounds!).

I write in both English and Russian, and it’s always an adventure to see which way my creative juices flow. The contrast and richness of these two languages constantly amaze me, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have them both shaping my work and my perspective.

I thrive on connecting with people across cultures, exchanging ideas, and celebrating the magic of words. If you’re into powerful storytelling, impactful campaigns, or just a good chat about creativity

– let’s connect!
